Sorry I haven’t been bloggin’ in a while. Have you missed me? Why have I been on vacation from DiShofgreennarnia? Because our current Narnia, Earth, is about to celebrate my favorite holiday of the year. EARTH DAY.

Technically, the festivities shouldn’t start until three weeks from now but, with planning a nearby festival, drooling over my calendar, pledging acts of green, drooling over my calendar, calculating my carbon footprint, drooling over my calendar, turning off my lights, drooling over my calendar, buying more environmentally friendly batteries and lights, drooling over my calendar, planting a tree, and of course drooling over my calendar, I have been a bit preoccupied.

Not to worry though, I am back. Personally, every year I go to the Pinecrest Earth Day Festival at Pinecrest Garden (April 15th) but, for my audience in other states and countries (howdy Russia), there are other festivals. Check out the link after this sentence to find some good old fashion tree huggin’ near you. http://act.earthday.org/events/search/distance/33143

So, what is today’s act? Well, since I missed the last two days, I believe I owe you three.

# 13 Mark April 22 in your calendar (or on a sheet of paper in your pocket J I don’t judge organization techniques).

# 14 Go to that website that I told you about. Here is the link again: http://act.earthday.org/events/search/distance/33143

#15 Each event has its own style. Some are meant to different things such as teach science, celebrate nature, protest carbon emissions, and so on. For example, the festival that I help organize (Pinecrest Earth Day) teaches the community the importance of communicating Climate Change and celebrates nature’s gifts.

No matter your shade of green, I hope that we will both be looking up at the same sky on April 22 and thinking about the importance of the environment. Please watch the video below to help get inspired.

  2. Again, your blog inspires me to be green. I love how you spend so much time actually doing something and not just talking about it like other people. Yay, Earth!

    1. "Finally, someone is paying attention to Earth Day" yourself. I like to think that the greener you are, the more Earth Days you have but, April 22nd is the mother of all of them. I hope you live your life to its greenest. Merry Earth Day.
