If every American home replaced just 1 light bulb with an ENERGY STAR qualified bulb, we would save

enough energy to light more than 3 million homes for a year, save more than $600 million in annual energy

costs, and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars. So why don't we?

#8 I am not saying that you should replace all of your lights this second but, the next time that one blows out go

to Home Depot and get something like

EcoSmart 9-Watt (40W) T3 Soft White CFL Light Bulbs (4-Pack) (E)*

for $5.85. I am not saying that you need to get this exact brand (it is just an example) but, look for energy efficient light bulbs. They last longer and they help the environment.

  1. this is so cool(: i never knew what one small change could do for the world. i'm definitely getting more energy efficient lightbulbs next time.

    1. Thanks! Mother Nature and I applaud you.
